Disposable gloves

Didnt wear them for first 20 yrs caught lymes disese now violently allergic to dear blood so now have to take great care to cover up and wear gloves.
One spot of blood size of a pin head have to get anti histamine within minutes .

I use them, because it’s a way of preventing cross contamination but my primary reason being it’s cleaner. I don’t want to be touching all my kit with bloody hands after a gralloch - blood is extremely corrosive, particularly bluing.

This is crazy!! Thanks for the insight. I’d never have thought it possible before reading it.

I just hate the idea of disposable. Lets look at a gralloch. You have just put a bullet tight the way through the carcass. Thats taken any mud, shitty wallow etc straight through the middle. Its a non sterile environment already.

With a gralloch you are not exposing any meat, you are just removing the entrails and Pribably heart and Lungs. You are then probably dragging carcass to a place of pickup. Using gloves will have a minimal effect on comtamination.

By all means use gloves to protect your skin from blood etc, but realistically washing remains in a stream witj moss etc is a better option.

In the larder - soap and water and wash your hsnds well is just as effective.
