I help run a small shot just out side Welshpool and we have a few spaces for full guns it's £270 for 8 days plus we hold some work parties through summer if any 1 interested or for more information then feel free to message me thanks.

That's extremely good value at that price, how many birds do you normally put down?

Are you the Earl of Powis? I was at Welshpool on Monday, buying a sink plunger for a £1 at the hardware shop near Sainsbury.

It's lovely country. Is your shoot near the preserved railway? I'm too far in Leicester but good luck. You've some nice topography.

Hi we put 300 birds down hoping gradually put more birds down each year. All the money that goes into the shoot stays in the shoot and goes on land feed birds etc. We have a shoot Suzuki and trailer to help feeding and general shoot work. Pest control is offered out to everyone crows fox's rabbits and the odd Day pigeon shooting.

We have a good laugh/banter and have some well presented birds.

Shoots like these are the best ones, we have something similar. We all muck in and do the working parties and its walk one stand now when the season starts. After a good days shooting we cook up some sausages, bacon etc and a couple of bottles of port are consumed in an old barn whilst we take the pi~s out of each other. It's not about the number of birds you shoot it's simply a great day out and a good crack

Hi All
One position has become available due to gun having to drop out due to having a operation and being out of action most of the season. Birds are now down and doing well being checked daily. Two work parties left but these will mainly feeding the shoot and one of the woods needs slightly trimming back. If anyone if interested can you please pm me. We could take two guns if some wants to join with a friend.
