DMQ Aw Re brief

As I said last week , I broad this up to our head of centre. Guess what, even he hasn't been told about it.!! He has had all the phone calls and watches SD . He does have a phone call booked with out DMQ guy this week. IF we have to do it he is asking for more venues much firther North. And if it goes ahead it will be just as boring as the original. J
Sounds like a bit of a botch up to me then. Nothing new there then.

Why do i feel like DMQ are acting like they are doing us a favour with allowing us to be AWs when really its us helping them out and they receive payment for every DSC2 registered. Im not doing it to make money but more as when i did my DSC2 there was no one locally as an AW . Every Email ive had from them has been very blunt on there part. And with this briefing it not cheap considering this is a voluntary thing.

Simple don't do it tell them its to expense loads have done and i feel its the only w3ay.

It would be interesting to know who is giving these briefings, what is their experience, book work or practical.
The reason I am interested is because I was an AW when it first started and then found the assessors where people that I had introduced to Deer not many years before. I gave up being an AW when I reached 75 so did my input towards Deer management not only as an AW but as a person that introduced others to Deer management over many years.

As an up date on this situation, I have STILL not received any response to my Email. Bloody ignorant.

I am as far as I know still an Approved Witness, having not heard about any request for a phone call and loosing £40.00. One can only imagine that those involved have got to the point of panic management.

As I am now well into my 60's I can take it or leave it being an AW.

I am actually trying to become an AW as none in my area. The problem is you need ref from two other AWs and I don’t know any.
I am in the same boat as you , I don’t know anyone to help , but after reading all this I am not sure if it’s worth all the bother , all you want to do is help people move forward but are faced with obstacles,
