Wanted: DNZ mounts for Sauer 202

A question for the SD collective:

Is anyone running DNZ mounts on a Sauer 202?

DNZ haven’t been much help.

I seem to recall from the depths of my memory that whilst DNZ do t make a designated mount for the 202 there are others that will fit - from recall some sort of Remington.

Can I find the thread, can I hell.

Any help appreciated.

Just found this -seemingly NOT the Remington 700 series, I knew I hadn’t imagined it!

If it’s the gamereaper you are after, word of warning - the rear ring is so far forward you struggle to get the scope back enough to give eye relief. Unless you have LONG eye relief on your scope, it won’t work.

Also, I’ve emailed them and got the snappiest replies, really not a company I would want to work with again to be honest.

Interesting Triggertrix, it is a Gamereaper that I’m keen on using. I have several on other rifles and never experienced an issue with mounting a variety of scopes. Do you have one on a 202? If so, which model? As for customer service, I’ve always found DNZ to be good until my last request. That said, I don’t give more than three chances elwith firms/clubs or people these days. It rapidly becomes a case of….OK, I’ll keep my £ and you can keep your product/service/membership etc. maybe they’ve gone off the boil of late.

I have one on a Winchester Mod70. It’s a nice mount, but had it been for any other scope than a leupold with massive eye relief, I’d never get the scope back far enough.

I emailed them about a crack in the bridge between the receiver rings, and they replied it is NOT, just a crack in the anodizing finish, not to be discussed further! 😝 Will not be buying another

Fair enough, that isn’t acceptable customer service and as a result they’ve lost you as a repeat customer - short sighted to say the least, which is a shame as I’ve always found their mounts excellent. I have them on a Tikka and Ruger 10/22. Neither has ever moved an inch since 2013 and 2016 respectively. The Tikka in particular gets used a lot.

I've had a look and you'd have to modify any DNZ mounts to suit, which isn't practical unless you have a milling machine of sorts. I've modified 2 so far for my rifles because I like them.

Talley might be your best bet for simple 2 piece mounts.

DNZ isn't the most helpful with their responses for non standard queries but their mounts are second to none in my opinion.
