Merry Christmas to everyone and a happy new year.
Do any of you have any real experience with the above. Dogtrace gpsx20 for tracking dogs in forestry etc.
Feedback greatly appreciated.

Yep I use it on a pack of hounds and it's been faultless I live in wales and it's never let me down in the deepest forestry and highest hill

I use an Apple AirTag with waterproof dog collar case , it’s £19 and free to use , accurate to 5m anywhere on the planet ( not my words ) been using them since lock down.
We got the idea from a your farm hand , we had a right problem with pikeys cutting the fuel tanks off the machine while parked up overnight during harvest which can be worth hundreds on black market.
So we started to buy AirTags , sealing them up to make them watertight and then dropping them in the tanks .all of a sudden they become very traceable

All the police have said is “ it’s been really helpful “


Like I say we know have all the dogs kitted out with AirTags .

AirTags will not work for tracking dogs.... They do not work like that. All they do is use BluetoothLE to connect to nearby Apple iphones (~15m max). The Apple device then reports that it's seen that AirTag @ That location.

If the dog is in the middle of the forest 200m from you they do not work as they dont have an Apple iphone near them for the uplink to report the location.
