Dog washing

Hello,
I have had working dogs for more than 40 years and never really washed any, just a rinse down with warm water if muddy. My wire hair pointer is a bit smelly and could do with a wash, what are you folks using as a dog wash?

Bought an American frost proof outside tap that does hot and cold water for the Vizslas. Use cheapest pet shampoo from supermarket and only do it if really necessary. Teckel goes in the kitchen sink and just loves lying in there - very chilled

Tea tree dog shampoo , online or pet shop . Gave my two a bath yesterday and a tick check over .

If roll in fox sh1t and smell still there after a wash ?....
Buy biggest cheapest bottle of tomato ketchup can find .... work i tto smell area well

Rinse then shampoo with a dog shampoo..

Dunnoenif its acidity in tom sauce thst gets the smell but it removes it ... I just make sure wash rinse it well off then the dog shampoo

Nah - it’s a spaniel, it’ll stop just inside the door & have a good shake first

Built a shower room next to my utility room only the dog uses the shower and n there I just use what ever shampoo is cheap at the pet shop.

Actually that reminds me, many years ago I had a spaniel that had rolled in quite a lot of liquid fox **** that no amount of washing helped with. So I took her to a local beach and encouraged her to jump off a jetty into 6' of water, that worked.
