Dorset FAC Grant Waiting Times

Hi all,

I put in for my grant in January with Dorset firearms and, having heard nothing for 6 months, gave them a call for an update (following a line in their 2022 newsletter saying if you hadn't heard anything in 56 days they would be in touch). A very polite and friendly lady on the other end of the phone informed me that they are currently working on applications made in 2022.

There are some circumstances that can get you there quicker (need it for work, same time as shotgun renewal, etc.) but I was wondering if anyone has had a reasonable turnaround time recently without these reasons, and the 2022 claim is just to give themselves breathing room?

Any response or thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Because I got my renewal application in in good time, I got an 8 week extension. The certs came through the door within the 8 weeks, just! Paula Bailey has taken over from Jerry Ireland.
