jb1 I hear your pain….. please read all of this before you all start shooting me down. I fully get that we already pay good money and that we have a right to expect a prompt an efficient level of service in return. The truth however is that we don’t. Firearms is so far down the priority list for Police services that despite what ever campaigning it is likely to remain that way…. Now for the bit I expect flack over…. For some folks like jb1 above … I wish there was an option like you get with your passport. Phone up… make an appointment in the next three days… pay your £150 fast track fee… arrive at your appointment … get the details all done … go get a coffee and come back in an hour and collect your freshly printed new certificate. We have all been in this position at some point…. I don’t relish the thought anymore than the next person of paying for it but there are times where I would have!
