Down Jacket

I’m looking for a new down or synthetic fill jacket in solid green, only stipulation is the outer to be more robust, I have a RAB one that held up well but it’s a thin pertex like fabric on the outer and not the best in heavy spiked cover!

Any recommendations greatly appreciated

I wear puffer jackets from decathlon or t k max and others and just put a shooting coat over the top. Carry the coat on my back pack if it is too much.
This.

Even a cheap packable waterproof will be more protection over a down than any of their own shells I've ever seen

You could have a look at Belay jackets for climbing
They are synthetic fill and designed wide shoulder and hip to go over other clothes and harnesses but also light and packable
They are a bit more substantial than a normal down

I’ve steadily morphed into Kuiu’s layering approach and when it’s cold enough to need down jackets, I usually put a Goretex shell over it, a Kuiu one it’s it’s relatively easy going and a Sitka if it’s harder cover. Just bought a S/H Sitka down jacket off here so I’m now running three weights of down, a lightweight, the Kuiu mid-ground and the Sitka for real cold or lengthy sitting out. Finding what the OP seeks will be very difficult IMHO and somewhat a “one trick pony”.
