Dpt moderator muzzle brake

Does anyone know of anywhere or anyone that has a muzzle brake for a mark 1 DPT moderator for sale many thanks

Yes I also spoke with the importer and was told the same and was told I must purchase a mk2 etc blah blah but having checked the New Zealand web site and after contacting them they do indeed make a mk1 brake so I am puzzled why I was told it wasn’t ever manufactured

They do and are roughly £90/£100

Or it may be that he doesn’t import one for an obsolete model.

Yes they do sell them separately, I got one myself but only for the MK2 if they had them for the MK1 I would have one also.

That’s true, but I’m sure retailers would respect people more if they didn’t cast aspersions about their business dealings without any evidence whatsoever.

No aspersions made my friend looks like the importer was either ill informed or lacked knowledge of their products.

Who’s casting anything I rang up to buy a mk1 brake and was told DPT don’t make a brake for a mk1 and I would have to buy a mk2 and a mk2 brake. Then I discovered that DPT do indeed make a brake for a mk1 what do you expect me to believe?

Perhaps what the importer (Bill Evans) meant to.say is that DPT don't make any MK1 parts anymore, hence he can't import them. I've been hit with this also and had to invest in MK2 when parts such as baffles weren't available anywhere else.

Just fitted the brake to my mk1 on a 270 will give it a try this weekend, but getting good reports from others who have them, wondering whether I should add another baffle to make up for the one you remove . All parts are available for mk1.

I use the muzzle brake on mine and it’s a fantastic piece of kit. I actually have a comparison with brake vs no brake in a triggercam video and you can see the reduction in muzzle flip.

Direct from DPT? Have they started MK1 parts production again, if so thats excellent. I asked the factory last year and had a firm no.

I speak to them at least once a week, even discuss the weather, they have mk1 parts on the shelf as far as I know, will check tomorrow.

They do make mk1 parts and they do make mk1 brakes as I now have one ordered

It looks to me like dpt uk are not importing anymore MK 1 parts.
I was looking for a rear section for one last year and I was told they weren't available and my only option was to buy a new MK 2 model

I had the same story, no idea why they aren't importing MK1 parts, an awful lot of these mods out there that will sooner or later be requiring replacement baffles.
