Just had a email with FedEx tracking number.
Delivery for the 29th

Same day as me - struggling to reconcile this as the likely scam I now think it is with and FedEx’s involvement Also, given it arrived yesterday in the UK, why does it take a week for internal delivery. We will see

I havent heard anything as of yet. I used applepay to make payment though so how can the card processing companies allow these companies to set up if not genuine?

To summarise what happened over the last few pages of the thread...

This website sells a very cheap DJI Mini 2. When you click their (very positive) Trustpilot link, you are forwarded to this Trustpilot page.

The Trustpilot page is not the same company, as if you follow the link back out of Trustpilot to the Acratech website you end up here, as you can see it is a firm in the USA selling camera equipment.

Back to the drone website, on this page, you see they claim to be UK based and operated. Maybe one of the chaps who ordered can clarify - but it seems like they are expecting a parcel from the Czech Republic?

Also note at the bottom of the Acratech website these company details:



If you look on companies house here you can see that the company details are for a real company.

However Dronescend have their own website which is here.


Now I'm not saying it's a scam, but there are too many red flags there for it to be legit, in my opinion.

If this turns out to be a fiddle the way they have managed to get FedEx tracking info to our actual towns is the cleverest bit. Using the FedEx logo in a phishing email is numpty stuff but getting the real FedEx tracking website to generate a reference we can look up using our real addresses is a lot cleverer if there is nothing actually being delivered

I must admit without the FedEx I would be 100% certain it’s a scam, but that has got me baffled. Still following this thread closely because I wouldn’t mind a cheap drone…

I can’t quite get my head around why they would need to do the fed ex bit. They have the money if the item has been paid for. What’s in it for them sending out FedEx delivery advice ?

Agree - it’s bewildering I’m now certain it’s a scam but I’m content to wait out to the 29th to prove it. As you say, why go to all this length with the FedEx aspect as they already have your money. It’s a new one on me……..
