very well done, I hope you have passed, I have been to Greenlee today with Jon Snowdon, and had a great time with the candidates Mark, Peter, Nigel, Gavin and all the others

It's well worth it Tommy, and well worth a reasonable amount of study before hand too - there were a couple of chaps who will have to retake a couple of tests!

It's a very good point you make Jez! Anyone contemplating DSC 1 should plan well ahead really. Get the manual and read it thoroughly beforehand as it is a hell of a lot of information to expect to absorb in what is effectively about 1.5 days of lectures!(The remainder being range time and assessment). Learn as many of the questions and safety questions as possible. That way, the course is more relaxing and enjoyable as it is little more than revision of previous knowledge! You are also less likely to have to return to re-sit any of it!
