Back home in the UK now, so a bit of a longer reply.
Hopefully you now have everything sorted, but if not the DSC2 Candidate Guidance that you can download (
https://www.dmq.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/ePortfolio-candidate-guidance-April-2021.pdf) contains step-by-step instructions for the entire process.
I know the document is 81 pages, but it really does contain all the information you will need!
So if you haven't read it already please do, as it talks you through the process from the Candidate's point of view right from the beginning to the end. This includes how to access your ePortfolio on OneFile, filling in a Candidate CV, downloading the list of AW's, what the AW will be looking for when completing your witnessed stalk and the ICR, actually going on a witnessed stalk, filling out the Candidate Narrative, speaking with your Assessor, etc.
You will have to navigate to your ePortfolio to access the list of AW's but, other than registering and filling in the Candidate CV that gives the Assessor some details on your stalking background, most of the paperwork these days is done by the Assessor, with the AW completing and submitting the ICR itself. You will need to submit a Candidate Narrative, but you can email this directly to the Assessor. As with the Candidate CV, a template for the Candidate Narrative is available in your ePortfolio. After the witnessed stalk, and your call with the Assessor, you will also be able to see the Assessor's actual assessment there as well.
In the new scheme filling in the ICR is actually much easier for the AW to do compared to the old hand-written ICR's. It does require the AW to fill in the ICR electronically, but if an AW can fill in their FAC renewal online they should be more than competent to fill in an ICR! Naturally opinions vary, but personally I prefer it now with everything being done electronically, as in the old days Candidate Portfolios used to suffer delays in submission, got lost in the post, were kept back by unscrupulous AW's, mis-placed, etc. Just search on here for old threads including "Candidate Portfolio" and there are plenty of tales of woe!
A brief word on selecting an AW. Please don't just pick one at random. Instead give a call to a few who cover your area and suss them out. I doubt you'd pick a professional stalker at random, or the first one who came up in a Google Search. Instead you'd want to speak with them and get an idea of what they are like, and whether you think you will enjoy the stalk. Picking an AW should really be no different. My recommendation would be to ask them some questions to see if they are the kind of AW that you think you will get on with, and that will help you achieve DSC2. For example ask them if they only witness on their own ground or will they travel and witness you complete a stalk on yours? Do they offer the chance of doing a separate stalk before the Witnessed Stalk, so you both can assess your level of competence? How do they like to run their witnessed stalks? Do they have experience with the new scheme? Do they have access to a larder, so you can complete all the PC's in one go, including elements 3 and 4? And of course be sure to ask what, if anything, they charge for a stalk (if you are going to do the witnessed stalk on their ground) and for witnessing.
Best of luck as you embark on the DSC2, and if you get stuck or have any questions feel free to drop me a PM.
