I love my EKAs, very good qualityTo add to the mix…
What’s the difference between the EKA Swingblade & the Outdoor Edge Swingblaze? - I have one of the latter & aside from the little stick on badge can’t see any difference.
How so?I love my EKAs, very good quality
I was given an Outdoor Edge set (not a swingblade) but the quality is inferior to the EKAs

Just watched this video and looks to simply split into three main components (2 scales, 1 blade) with any other component firmly fixed to the scales and only removable with tools. Which parts are you talking about which make field stripping a bad idea?Field striping an EKA is a seriously bad idea, theres a lot more parts than you might expect.
Wait until you get home.
I have an old E8, it works a lot better than you would think looking at it.

He could’ve done with practicing once or twice before filming himself! He made a bit of a hash of taking that apart & then putting it back together again - not exactly selling it to me!
Here we go - sorry @NickJ but you wound me up enough with your comment about inferior quality to make me get a brew, sit down & get surfing t’interweb.
The answer to my question is that there is no difference between the original EKA Swingblade & the Outdoor Edge Swingblaze - they are the same knife sold under different brands.
“The knife is a collaboration design between the president of Outdoor Edge David Bloch, EKA knives of Sweden and professional hunter Thomas Ekburg.”

I think the current Outdoor Edge Swingblade is AUS-8 steel as opposed to Sandvik 12C27Here we go - sorry @NickJ but you wound me up enough with your comment about inferior quality to make me get a brew, sit down & get surfing t’interweb.
