Electric mouse repellent

Yes I have used them, a few different ones.

They work somewhat well. I find them very effective when first installed, however I feel they just learn to tolerate it if its in an area that is not occupied and has what they want. In your case probably ripping up the insulation for nest materials. In an otherwise unoccupied loft, I'm not sure they will solve the problem long term

there is no standard they have to meet. i dont know of any competent pest controller that eould use them.
assuming you have no food in the loft mice are easy to trap using break back traps, single feed poison works if your sure its house mice. stopping ingress is sometimes easier said than done.
this year we have caught house and field mice plus a shrew and voles. all on traps set for mice in the loft baited with almond butter

Multiple traps and more in areas infested throughout the cold months. I dislike poison but just constantly trap to stay on top of them.

Wine gums and halibut pellets are best baits, just ahead of peanut butter and chocolate spread.

Yeah been trapping, was hoping this might stop them returning. Think I'll not bother, cheers.

Poisons and trapping at the same time and fast if they are chewing pipes and wires 100% get onto it . Not got all the Kit and knowledge? Bring in a good professional ASAP
Vermin create a fair few fires and floods

Got to second the Wine Gums, they stick to the trap and mice have to give a good tug to get them off. Lying in bed at night listening to "Snap, drumming of little feet getting slower then dead silence" Wait10 minutes the "repeat" etc, etc.
As for electric repellants? The cat ones I bought never worked, useless.

You need to be careful as house insurance may not cover vermin damage and as you know they are there could be issues if you made a claim.
There is a great thread on here re a multi catch mouse trap.
I use whole hazel nuts on my Little Nippers but will try wine gums.
In our old cottage had them set in loft all year and autumn was peak catching time.

Personally I don’t want to deter them, I want them gone, so traps and poison from September to March.
