Electric winch

Can anyone recommend a 240 volt electric winch for the man cave. Mainly for Roe and the odd Fallow

Skin off a rice pudding capability guaranteed, and made in Britain too! 😆
Joking apart, that’s a great bargain and you’ll wonder why you didn’t buy one years ago ( - answer: they were 2 1/2 times dearer back then!)

Happy hoisting 👍🏻

For the garage I just bought 1 of these.
I’ve something similar to this. 3 years old and still working fine. Has done up to 150kg red stags.

To be honest mate if it does the job half as well as it should I'll be happy.
I only shoot maybe 40 deer a year (work is a bastid ain't it)
I'm just fed up trying to man handle red deer up onto my rafters to get it skinned and butchered.

I have one similiar. After trying to get a 50 kg fallow in my drinks chiller I decided it was time to sort out a rail so I could pick the deer up and it will slide in to the chiller without killing me.
It is a brilliant job, works well.
And of course the biggest thing I have shot since is bloody munties.

Why stop at one - having originally started with one to aid skinning, I added a second on a rail to do the unloading, movement, storage in and removal from the chiller and to permit changeover of gambrels etc. Some photos at the link below. It works well for the really heavy fallow I occasionally get :thumb:

Have you a picture please? Trying to set up something similar. Conisdering installing a roller on the floor to let the winch do the skinning! (ceiling only about 2.4m)

My rail into the chiller is similar to yours, just cheaper I bet. Mine, not yours. lol.
I am thinking of putting a second winch in as well. I can cut a space into the attic to mount the hoist up there and that will give me an extra foot or so for skinning, so I don’t have to get down on my knees to finish the lower bits.

I have one that’s a good 6yrs old and still going strong. The last one I had stopped working as I used to leave deer hanging on it, and the moisture from the deer got into it, I now warp the winch in plastic to stop it.
