Anyone else on sd have zero joy with callers , been using one for a yr tried everything, different ground , calls , volume distances , time etc zero joy, its more a pian in the hole now to go and put it out stand for 2 hrs then go and pick it back up ffs, I'm using gc500 gen1,

Resisted buying one except for the Ben Spencer one I had years ago. That pulled a few in.
I prefere hand our mouth whistles but they all don't come with a guarantee. Sometimes a fox comes in and sometimes he ain't so easily fooled.

Just bait them buddy - if you are willing to wait for 2/3 hours they will come then ......... usually !

I use hand and mouth calls and have had them come in, but surely the caller should bring them in too, alot of guys have great success with them

I've had some luck with fox cub call of late, but mainly the rat distress is the main one I use. YouTube is your friend for recording call sounds and putting them onto your caller 😉

used one for a few years to great effect had a lot come in ears forward looking for it
not working so well this year but i think it will when it turns colder
but had some to a mouth caller or lip squeaking over the last 5 or 6 weeks

Are you in an area that sees a lot of people out foxing? I had Spell where foxes would run off the instant they heard any call, mouth or caller. I was out one night and heard a caller at full blast about half a me away, went through loads of calls all full volume. I reckon that was the problem! Deffo bait if you can. 👍

Thats what I can't work out I've never bumped into or seen anyone else on my perms

I have generally found foxes to be creatures of habit, no point sitting up at 9pm when he doesn't visit until 2am.
this might be the case but not many foxes get to follow a habit on my permission lol:)
no all joking aside when you shoot a fox who knows when another one is going to come along
also as i pointed out the other week to a mate. in the summer i wasnt going out till 10/10.30 pm and seeing foxes just into dark
now its dark at 6.00 pm and im still seeing them just into dark, so they dont tell the time like we do more like light levels than time. so yes a habit but not a time thing as some people think "ive seen a fox at X, o clock so thats when it will be there again for ever". No.
next week it will be an hour earlier still so yes a habit but not a time thing as some people think
on a plus side it means an earlier finish for me

If you’re within a 100m of Wi-Fi get one of these up with your leftover dinner underneath. Then put your feet up with a cup of earl grey when you hear the alert open your window or back door and dead 🦊. Disclaimer as long as you live on the estate or farm and your back door and window point in a safe direction.
