ATN X-Sight 5 LRF

For anyone that has an x sight and uses the ballistic calculator, does it automatically adjust the reticle after you ping a new range? Or just tell you the holdover along the bottom? If it adjusts how do you reset to standard zero. The manual isn’t clear and I haven’t had a chance to test on paper to see
There's a green dot that indicates the point of aim. When you put a new distance in moves.

It also moves when you alter the angle of the gun (the scope has a gyro). I assume it's also effected if you enter different environmental data like temperature or pressure.

Thanks not getting the green dot so need to have a play with it a bit more I think 🤔

  1. When you press the FUNCTION 1 button on the Homescreen, you activate the LRF.
  2. The LRF then measures the distance to your target.
  3. Once the distance is measured, that value is automatically and instantly transmitted to the Ballistic Calculator.
  4. The Ballistic Calculator then instantly adjusts your reticle's point of impact (POI) based on this new distance and your ballistic profile.
So, if you take a second shot at a different distance, or even the same target after a brief period (as conditions or your position might slightly change), you would need to press the FUNCTION 1 button againto activate the LRF and get an updated range. This ensures the Ballistic Calculator has the most current distance data for precise adjustments.

Think of it as needing to "range" your target with the LRF each time you want the Ballistic Calculator to make an adjustment for that specific distance.
And if you don’t want it to continue to re just poi you turn the ballistic calculator off and it retains your original 100m/y zero if you go on the Atn web chat with Franklin you can almost ask anything and it come up with an answer

Thanks that’s more what I thought the manual was suggesting about the reticle adjusting the poi automatically.

well funny you should say that as Franklin the ai said more or less the same till I then asked in conjunction with LRF
I am not 100% sure but I think you have to have all the gyro environment and so on just so you get the best possible outcome not really put it to the test my self but I would be impressed if calculated the weather for you area

Sorry mine if the non lrf version. I misread your post.
Its more or less the same except you would use the Distance Entry for each shot which is like hold over or under but should eliminate human error 🫣😁
Ps and turn off when returning to original zero

On Mine the reticle doesn't move you get an additional green dot. Although you can't see it on some reticle choices.

Is the green dot the original poi or the new and is the dot there no matter which reticle you normally use
The new poi.
Yes the dot is there regardless of the reticle. Although it can not be seen with some reticles because it's the same thickness as the line but goes behind the reticle. You can't alter the size or colour.

I've never used it in anger because it's way to slow to enter the sub menu and manually input the data. Obviously should be adjusted on the unused buttons on the scope but there you go.

I have LTV which has the distance entry mode I will have a look at that to see what that does but I am lead to believe that you should just have your normal ret and when using the distance entry that ret moves to the new poi and no other aim point dot or anything else
