An reversable extended picatinny rail that fits onto Optilock bases.

Sku: 8-0013

Britannia Rail. I think the model is 7075.

Black annodised alluminium.

made to fit a Sako 85/75 action 3/S i.e. short, so: 7mm08, 308, 243, 260 22-250, 338 Federal gen2

Excellent condition.

Reversable, so can be fitted both ways, to either offer more space and eye relief for a rear ad-on or to get the scope closer to your comfortable cheek weld, particularly with a dedicated scope. Good for both.

I bought it from a member on here and used it for mounting a thermal unit but had a change of plan, so it's back on sale.

£56 posted. Now £40 posted, bargain.

Rrp is £120

Hi, can I ask is this the steel or aluminium version and can you tell me the centre to centre of the Optilock screw holes.
Thanks
N

It's blackened/anodised alluminium, it is very light.

11cm i.e. 110mm hole centre to hole centre, using tape. I don't have calipers to hand. If the centre hole to centre hole of your optilock measure the same give or take a couple of mm while fully fitted/seated, it will be the right fit
(given it would be a a drastic change for another action size) I just i don't have 100% accuracy in the measurement from tape.

Thanks for the measurements. Sadly, a little longer than I was looking for.
Thanks again

I believe then you would probably be looking for something for Sako 75/85 action 1/ XS size.

Like this one.

It's not extended and it is Reed not Britannia but I hope that helps. This is one size down from my action 3/S above and its the shortest action they make for, so it has to fit really.

Good morning
please can I ask about your rail
I have just bought a sako 75 in 300 blackout it was originally 223 I believe
i will be using a atn scope with built in rangefinder as it drops like a stone
obviously it is dove tailed optilock mounts. However, the scope will not fit the optilock so I have no option but to fit a picatinny rail system.
please can you tell me will yours fit bearing in mind it is short action.
regards Frank

I believe that your .223 would be classed as action size 1 for XS. So extra short required, for this optilock rail.
Best way to tell would be to measure the distance between the centre of the holes on the optilock bases while they are properly fitted to the receiver. Give or take 2mm (for the sake of my tape measurements, no calipers) , for this short rail, that gap should be 110mm. It is described as Sako 75/85 action 3 /S. If the gap is significantly shorter, it requires a rail described as Sako 75/85 action 1/XS. ( extra short)

The proper measurement to know your action size is by measuring the size of the ejection port. So by measuring the gap between the end of the rear base and start of the front base.

If it's appox. 56 mm, Sako Extra short.
If it's approx. 74mm, Sako Short.
If it's approx. 84mm, Sako Medium.
If it's approx. 94mm , Sako Long.
