Hi Folks,

Any recommendations in terms of fallow buck grunt tubes - any particular make you have found more successful than others?

Thanks in advance!

I haven’t ever called except to give a grunt with my mouth to stop a buck so i could take a shot.
However I have plenty of success rattling antlers. get the timing, just right and younger inquisitive bucks will Just appear like ghosts.
I have had master bucks come in too which is super exciting, but less common.
Rubbish photo but one that just appeared in front of me.

I agree rattling antlers work better than trying to call them with grunts in the rut.

Dialect is the brand name on this one. I have had quite a few fallow buck come into it.

I’ve successfully used the primos hardwood grunter for years and also as mentioned earlier the knight and hale antler rattler.

The issue with any grunter is they are not particularly loud, part because the nature of their construction but also whitetail are really soft when they grunt. So you do need to be close and get under a deers skin for a grunt to work. I’ve used my own ‘vocalisation’ successfully over the years to draw in from more distance.
