Fed up with Butler Creek Flip Ups?

I contacted Euro optics about my 3-12 x 50 Klassic and the Tenebraex objective cover will fit with the adaptor, but the ocular diameter on the Klassic is only 41mm compared to the 43mm of the PMII and Zenith, didn't want to risk spending the cash and find out the ocular cover was way too big.

Cheers

Mark, this was the reply I had from Euro optic;

"Simon,I believe the objective adapter will work. However they do not make an ocular cover for the non PMII scopes.
Thanks,

I read somewhere that the Tenebraex covers won't fit if your scope is mounted low to barrel, however I have no idea if that is actually true

No cover will fit if that's the case and I should know having had a mill cut to my K250 barrel to permit movement of the objective parralex ring! Still can only get a very thinly shaved Butler Creek wedged beneath.

Jon,

I looked at the flip up versions, like we can buy, put them in my basket, went to pay for them and it all came over red on the screen telling me they couldn't ship them.

The Tenebraex's look good for the objective lens, but what about the ocular?

And I have the 2.5-10x56 Klassic

Simon

That's interesting and surprising.

Yes I haven't ordered any of the ocular covers to be honest. I probably will though now I know the quality of them.

As Klenchblaize has already said however the newer Tenebraexs have a cut out and will mount lower than Butler Creeks. Also they can be rotated on the adapter so even if you have the older version its fine as long as you are ok with horizontal opening covers.

They told me they had sorted the problem with the newer manufactured covers.

The problem is how do you know you have a set of the new ones?
