Fitting cabinet in loft.

I hope everyone is staying safe and sane!

Im going to be moving into a new house soon with the misses. There are no solid walls where fitting a cabinet will work. I will have easy assess to the loft so Im thinking its the best place for it. The block work is made from thermalites will I be able to fit to those? If so what's the best fittings?
The other option is bolting it to the floor the joist they are 8x2 would they allow fixing to timber?
The cabinet will be as big as I can fit up there to save future hassle.

Thanks
Brad.

A larger patress of 25mm marine ply on a stud wall where you can fix to the studs (ie 600mm wide-ish to catch the centres) and then the cabinet coach bolted to it and the floor was acceptable in our previous house. The 25mm depth of the ply also ‘packs out’ the cabinet the distance of most skirting allowing it to sit flush against the patress and also on the floor, if that makes sense.
From experience, a cabinet in the loft becomes a pita after time.

Mine’s in the loft but brick walls. I always find chemical anchors easier than expansion bolts though. Watch temperature changes and condensation up there. I’ve got a couple of small reptile matts in mine on a timer for a few hours each day in the winter. No issues in 5 years.

In regard to fitting your gun cabinet in the loft . My FEO advised against it for the following reasons , he wasn't insured or prepared to climb ladders into the loft to inspect the cabinet ,he also suggested I would be less inclined to climb into the loft to get your rifle for a summer morning stalk ie 3:30 am and may leave it under the bed ! I have used chemical fixings into thermalite blocks and found them to be excellent .
Chill

I also had mine in the loft in the UK fixed to thermal blocks with chemical anchors. It was was never a problem with FEO as I had a loft ladder and a section boarded out for easy access.

Everyone here has been bang on target that a cabinet in the loft is an invitation to decide to leave a gun out if it's late or it's needed early next morning and etc., etc.. And all are correct. So is there no way that you might also purchase a single gun cabinet that could be installed where it can be easily accessed to which a gun or rifle can be "decanted" to as it were in anticipation of an early start or put there after a late return?
