I have a Zeiss Duralyt 3-12x50 which I bought some Butler Creek covers for however they broke after about two outings. I now use the original bikini covers normally just putting the cover on the object lens as I carry the rifle muzzle up. I was very disappointed with the Butler Creek covers and am reluctant to buy any more as I feel they are over priced. I know they aren't a high cost item but for what you get I would imagine they cost less than £1 to produce. Has anybody used any of the cheaper covers advertised on ebay?

You can get the covers for about £2. I know people will say you get what you pay for but if they last more than two outings they will have been better value than the Butler Creek ones.
PS: I have recently seen the price of the Swarovski covers which goes to show the power of branding.
