Foxing Rifle Opinions.

I run 22-250 with 77gr tmk on my thermal, I know it’s a match bullet but I’ve never had a bullet kill better

Doesn’t sound like a calibre problem. Or a bullet problem because those Vmax are pretty explosive.

i know they are. always have been. bullet in right place but foxes running (dying but pain in the arse finding in cover and ground i work in) if it was a worn out rifle accuracy would be an issue would it not? which it isnt, holding zero fine. what do you think?

If you’d shed me last year I’d have said 22250 for ever…. Recently I’d go 22 creed for its ballistics. Problem is factories arnt chambering it yet…. I’d hold off untill Tikka come up with it as an option…. Can’t be long now!

im shooting them for my job not for fun so wouldnt be risking a fox on degree of the wind or that distance.

Try using a bait station and hopefully they will come to you and at a safe known distance.

not doing it myself but need some amount of bait stations to lure in every fox that comes onto the place.
