I have had one for a number of months. It is a great torch with serious amount of throw. Good variation in beam width for different situations. Very well built and smooth adjustments. The kit is good value with quality components and batteries. The only very minor niggle is that I have knocked the l.e.d change lever accidentally and switched on with a colour I wasn't expecting. The concept is great because it is an easy found change lever, but that does mean it can be moved easily. Not a deal breaker as I am aware to be careful of it now. I would definitely buy another if this one disappeared.

Have compared it with Nightmasters Trident and the FP was definitely better. I haven't compared to the LL mentioned directly. I do have a LL Night Sabre Alpha. At shooting distance there would be little difference but for ID and, in particular, eyeshine, the gunfire definitely has the edge. I must add that it is of course the white that I compared and couldn't say how the red pill offerings from LL would compare. Same as everything, it is horses for courses and depends on personal preference, the land you shoot over, core purpose of the torch etc. The build of the Fox Pro is second to none. As an example, the dimmer switch is far superior to that on my LL Wraith Sunranger.

Thanks for the reply, much appreciated.

My indecisiveness continues!

I think you’ve made my mind up to buy the foxpro, what is the ID like at 200yds with the white light buddy?

You'll have no issues with ID at 200yds! I can ID way beyond my comfortable shooting distances on the white and red. I can't speak for the green pill as I have the white, red and ir combo.

Next question (sorry!)...

Is it possible to get the remote tail cap lead separately? Not sure if it’s the same thread as any other brands.

Bushwear, who have been incredibly helpful, say you can’t buy it separately but I’m stubborn! The FoxPro website doesn’t show it separately but I’m still holding out hope!

It’s this circled part:

Thanks in advance!

To be honest, I have never researched it. The tail cap controls are a cracking wee set up. No fiddley knobs and completely silent operation. There are a couple of FoxPro field staff on various Facebook pages and I would say they'd be the best bet. Or contact FoxPro direct? The thread doesn't fit my LL torch but does fit other torches I have knocking about (nightfox for example). With discount, the whole kit costs 225 delivered. For the standard of what you get, and relative to other brands, it think it's a pretty good deal.

Cheers @RTAW85 - that’s hugely appreciated!

Out tonight on the foxes, I think game changer is how I’d describe it, 100% id at 500yds+ every time and I’m confident it’ll go a lot further, shot two at 170 and185, saw the strike clearly both times with the green light and the white is even better, i wouldn’t bother considering anything else on the market, phenomenal bit of kit, 10/10 I recon, the dimmer switch is awesome .

Out of interest, what are you spotting with?

Using the axion key to spot with, which gives first indication of something of interest, then it’s down to me and the scope for 100% id, last night the gunfire was on a zeiss duralyt 3-12x50 ir and even rabbits at 500yds were 100% id’d, now I don’t by choice shoot past 200 at night, I like to not only id the target but also EVERYTHING around it, I have to say that the gunfire raised my comfort level in terms of target id at long range considerably, phenomenal is not too strong a word to describe the performance of this light.
As for eyeshine, the green light takes it to another level
