Thanks. I'm getting better. It's just at night. I can't turn and if I try I'm in agony for hours after and don't sleep.Try fitting a shoulder strap (or a bit of string) to a hot water bottle so you can sling it over a shoulder and it lies flat against the affected ribs. The heat will help sooth the bruising and stiffness, and increase the blood flow so improve the healing.
God pulled the rib buddy and besides the 18 year olds today...no thanks. Now , a baking maniac and domestic goddess, let's talk !C'mon Smelly, if it's broken.pull the biggest bit out, you might make an 18 yr old out of it, Adam did.![]()
A classic. All this chatter about what to do about it an no-one seems to be interested in how you broke the rib in the first place ! ?
Hmmm, were you practising the Hokey cokey then Smelly? Like at your age?A classic.
I put the right leg in but the left leg got caught up in the trousers leg and threw my balance causing me to fall lower left ribs first onto the corner of large storage box.
It took my breath away at first and then the pain came.
Contusion is going now. At first it was taking 10 minutes to get out of bed!
It's most painful at night lying down but once up not to bad.
Highly not recommended!
Yes, exactly what my normally sympathetic wife started to mock with. Some kind of twisted version of the hokey cokey during the near passing out phase!Hmmm, were you practising the Hokey cokey then Smelly? Like at your age?
Next time take your jammies off first……
