Gamefair anybody bothering?

Does anybody happen to know if there's head measuring at the fair this year? I've walked around all day, but not seen anywhere.

Also, has anyone today seen Weschenfelder trade stand? They're usually here, and I wanted a few bits and pieces from them, but no sign of them anywhere.

Anyone camping over tonight or tomorrow night who fancies swinging by for a gossip?

Swinging , no thank you glad I left early today😂.
Will be dogging in the main arena next.

Thought it was a lot better than last year, more stands, seemed to be a lot more people. Arrived at 730am in the purple car park in a stream of cars. By 830 most stands had opened and we’re doing trade.
More on gunmakers row this year, managed to compare some pulsars before the rush.
Worth a visit in my book.

O2 signal was adequate today.
It was good to see Princess Anne visiting the BASC stand, a great ambassador for shooting.
Same old game fair fayre and too many dogs out on a hot day.

I enjoyed it.

We went yesterday and enjoyed it, not as much as the 5 lads at the cider tent though! More gun stalls than I remember from last time we went, and more choice of somewhat overpriced food. Totally agree with NoIDeer, far too many dogs looking really unhappy in the heat.

Went yesterday,really good atmosphere,
found a great food stall next to some excellent pork scratchings doing most food for £6 each which was great , venison burger ,venison chilli ,
lots of guns
agree with the dogs thing it’s bonkers .
the metal walkway was heating up and still prat’s walking there dogs on it .

Re Dogs.
I left Ragley at 1pm, the temperature was 27 degrees.

Idiots were still arriving dragging dogs
around, seemed to be mostly non gun dogs or minority breed gun dogs.

Mad dogs and English men go out in the midday sun.

Not dog lovers or responsible dog owners in my book.
I did my kennels at 4am yesterday morning before I left then walked them last evening.

Yep probably the same people walking about in leather knee length boots! but I fear some of the dog's on show were " look what I've got " rather than thinking of the poor dog itself?

Went yesterday, arrived at purple entrance for 07:30 and were parked only one row back from the 'Forward Parking'. Bit of a wait at the gates, and they were faffing around with some of the BASC membership entries (codes not scanning/working).
Felt more like a 'rural lifestyle' show more than a game fair.

- More gun stands, a good few bargains that were disappearing quickly on Friday morning (I do wonder if those who moan about lack of bargains are just too slow...)
- Lots of tweed/fake tan combos. Is the future of shooting entirely based on fashion?
- Lots and lots of hot dogs that really shouldn't have been out yesterday.
- Shooting org tents were all about recruitment and gaining new members, seemed little interest in talking to current members

Have not gone but on Instagram see they usual brand ambassadors and freebie chasers trying to get as drunk as possible from free booze.

As for idiots taking dogs then I feel sorry for them but are obviously not interested in what’s best for the dog but a look at me item.
My dogs would hate it and I be too embarrassed to take them.

Seen a few decent people there on line and lot of middle aged women trying to look sexy by wearing £400 knee length boots and skirts so maybe a good place to snare a wealthy farmer

Quite a good day on Friday. There always used to be an indoor pub (marquee) with tables and chairs and barrels as tables but everything seems outdoors now. Needs to be more tables and chairs especially in the food areas.

Watch out for the hookers, am told used to attend in days of old with horse box in tow.
