Gamo Gas ram airgun

That's a mighty fine collection there SD😍I've got a itch for a HW springer at the moment.
The prices are decent to scary.
I could kick myself now with the airguns I've sold...Tyrolean R7,HW80 both 90's guns.My HW 35 i had as a teenager in the mid 80s.
Hindsight is great 😭

Same here but it's not our fault they make so many hey!

Gamo? Try before you buy over a distance onto targets. If the OP is near Knibbs the have an informal outdoor range adjacent the shop.

The triggers are bloomin' awful! I truly would not have one as a gift. Very very difficult to do any truly precision shooting.

The girl group TLC made a song about Gamo triggers. Or at least it could have been..

I may be wrong, but from memory gas rams have a fairly low shot count compared to spring before they need replacing? If you still have the pump, it may be worth looking at a new Stoeger XM1. I find it pretty good for the cost (about the same as the gammo 10 shot)

If it's a springer you want, I would look at a used HW97, 95, 77, 98, the 99s are a good rifle but a little hold sensitive, if you can find a tuned one, even better, and get it in .177, it's faster, shoots far flatter, and in my opinion kills more efficiently than .22 in sub 12ftlbs, nice offer there from SD, that falcon will be an easy fix most likely, they are an older, but very high quality rifle.

I have a Hw110 and a HW77, the 77 is far better but prefer the mag set up on the HW110.

did have a gamo prior but swapped to the Hw110 as better made, better magazine, better reload

Cheers folks.

After all the advice i think im going to go with a new remymex, theirs a gun shop not that far from me stocks them ( must admit i forgot he was there, never been in it for decades)

Must admit i was surprised how cheap u can get new pcps for, althou nakes ive never heard off umarax was 1, even see remington do 1 about 200 quid.

Also surprised just how well some pcp airguns hold their value.
A lot of the time an extra 1- 200 and ur into a brand new gun

Just too many unknowns with the gamo, and boy from the gunshop never tried 1, it just new in stock. But said theyre not allowed to try them if selling as new, which i can understand.

So cheers again to everyone.

Smellydog, if ur quite good with pcps ur welcome to have that Falcon for free if u think u can fix it.
Dunno if u ever travel up to scotland much? Im just off the 74. Theirs an out off date divers bottle too.
Its no good to me anyway.

I did quickly mention it to that gunshop and he said he most likely could fix it but would cost as much as gun was worth.
He said getting pellets out barrel shouldnae be too bad.

The Remington T Rex is an outstanding budget PCP so certainly handle one, the scope is basic but OK, they retail for just the wrong side of £300, absolutely lazer accurate, but do not be tempted by the bull pup version, it's a different rifle and not in the same league.

I've not been up the m74 for years.
I only wanted to fix it for you buddy.

The Reximex Lyra k is also well worth a look, light, lovely trigger, and according to a chap who I was speaking to recently, an absolute bug hole shooter.

Country boy, Falcons are not difficult to work on, why not have a go yourself? Plenty of info on the internet about them, the pellets should be relatively easy to get out, SD, along with myself probably have a good idea what is wrong with it, PM one of us for some help if you like, I'm sure SD would be happy to help.

If SD doesn`t take you up on the kind offer, i`d love to have it as a project. Always liked the look of the Falcons & would happily cover postage if you decide you don`t want to bother with it & make a donation to a charity of your choosing.

Fix the falcon. It isn’t that difficult a job.

If it’s the twin bolt falcon, your then left with a gun that you can use the “ rubber band “ trick with.

No lethality issues here tonight.
12 (4 on display) farm pests eradicated.
All shots were offhand.
Good old 177 and jsb 10gn pellets.
