Other high seats are available .....
I've made high seats and towers before and whilst I start out all enthusiastic like, my attention soon wanes. I get halfway though painting them or welding them up and something else takes me away. Likewise dragging them to my shoot to put them up with all the tools and so on is a pain when I could be out stalking. So I had a rush of blood to the head on Sunday night and on Tuesday this arrived.
Neatly boxed and delivered super fast. Now I've been a bit busy and it's been foul outside so I only got to unbox it and play with stage one this lunchtime. What are my intial impressions? Pretty favourable actually. Nicely made - for the money. I shall make a few improvements such as adding contoured washers and so on. I can't abide fixings without washers. The coating is perhaps a bit thin but adequate. The shooting rail as with many seats is quite small but very sturdy. I shall take my stick up the seat with me to form a brace to shot from. Now, importantly, I'm a big lad. I have shares in a pie factory OK so what's it like to sit in? Actually very very comfortable indeed! I'm really pleased. Now it's only at ground level at the second because I had to go and earn a living today so I won't get it up to full height until the weekend I'd think. But it comes with sectional legs and cross braces and even a pair of ratchet straps. Say what you like, it's not a bad bit of kit to stick up, shoot from over the weekend, take down and bring home. If I can find a decent weather proof bag, I might hide it in the trees. But if I leave it up, someone will have it I'm sure.
I have not put a link to it because I am not wanting this to be specifically an advert. It is what it says in the title. An impression of what I have spent my money on. Once I have played with it some more I shall put an honest review up
How I'll feel after being up there for 5 hours freezing my nads off time will only tell.
