Just watching John Fogerty, 80 years old and he can still play that guitar!

Loved Rod grew up with him and his singing, but yes his voice is gone and has been a long time.
But cant help loving him as as singer.

Raye last night was great. I’m not a fan of her music but what a beautiful person. So full of energy. A delight to watch.
Alanis morisette sounded great. Paul numan was an eye opener with some great heavy guitars.
I like to watch Glastonbury to expand my listening. I saw idols last year, they were an assault on the senses, absolutely brilliant.

I was also surprised by both alanis and Gary’s sets - songs have aged well!
Biffy were good as usual (seen them live a few times and they make a hell of a racket!!)

I like the idea of going to something like Glastonbury but know that I’d regret it, once the lower back/knee pain kicked in and the lack of proper shower/toilets. My live music these days is confined to local theatres and clubs.

Go in a campervan/motorhome. Thats what my GF and her friends do. Built in shower, 230v, solar back up, fridge, toilet.

They've served their time in the early 2000s going in tents and living in squalor.

I don't go with them as I'm not interested in the majority of the acts.

This year I would have watched Neil Young, Alanis Morissette and Deftones (Cancelled), so not worth it for me as I view the rest of the stuff as the beige food of music.

I love a bit of Creedance, and his set that must have been over 10yrs ago at Glastonbury was great but I seen some clips of him from 2023/24 and he didn't sound very good anymore.

Is the set worth a watch?

If you consider he is 80, his voice isn’t where it used to be then yes. His guitar playing is still on point and seeing his guitar “back and forth” with his son is a great moment.

Been to and worked at a lot of festivals over the years but the people that go to Glastonbury just seem like a special breed of self righteous pricks.

Good to see them with a good performance saw them a few years back in Switzerland and it was terrible. Going to watch them and Carl Cox next year all being well. Will be epic.

Great guy met him with a pal of mine who had a bad bike accident didn’t have to take the time out of his race day but still did a true gent.

Away to the Ozzy all day gig at Villa Park this week though

Love Ozzy he was my idol in the 80s as a teenager , loved Black Sabbath but thought he was much better with Blizzard of Ozz with Randy Rhoades.
Saw him at Newcastle City Hall on the Diary of a Madman tour ...brilliant.
Don't think I would enjoy seeing him now though as he's knackered but hope you have a great gig , suppose the nostalgia will kick in.

Keith Flint, god rest his soul, has made me leap about the kitchen & living room more times than I care to remember.

Goldfrapp... with the two dancing girls with the pony tails some years ago... what a sight to remember also....

Edit: I don't understand people knocking acts like Rod Stewart. He's 80 years old, and his performance this weekend is all part of his journey, which has been a long one and takes some doing in the music industry.
It's like the popular pastime of slagging of Status Quo... calling them plastic talentless rockers...yeah.. they sell out everywhere they go and make people happy, that's what it's about...
