Glastonbury 25

(Just for the record, I was 7 in 1979 and didn't live in Wales then, so it was nothing to do with me!)
Well little boys play with matches and go on holiday to North Wales, so it could have been you. I think the well known saying was " Keep the home fires burning, buy a cottage in North Wales" at the time. I don't know about me fitting in up there as I was a keeper in Warwks in 79. When in Somerset I was too busy rearing a bundle of Grey partridge before you were hatched, hence couldn't take a look 20.odd miles down the road at Hippie eviction.

I remember just before this so called festival kicked off, way back. There was an infestation of Hippies to Glastonbury and local worthies threatened to set fire to their tents to get them moved on. I was too busy to go and watch but that would probably have been more entertaining.
It's a shame there's no local worthies left in the UK to go and deal with far worse undesirables.
I started a thread to ask people how they were enjoying the wide variety of music at Glastonbury, and I asked in the original post for people to refrain from posting negatives. Is it too hard to understand that, or do you just feel you have to **** on anyone's chips because it's something don't like ? Did I post a poll asking if you liked music festivals ? No, I didn't.

OK - definitely sticking my neck out here as I’m no oficionado.

However. Bands I enjoyed and would not have listened to otherwise (tbh).

Lorde
Parcels (I think that was the name) Aussie? Def feel good summer stuff.
As a long time Fleetwood Mac fan - Wolf Alice - Dreams

Long live Glastonbury and it’s ilk - I love hearing sounds that I never knew I’d like.

There, there, did I.upset you, didn't mean to p... on your chips or deep fried Mars bar. How sad, so sorry, never mind.

Yes, rookie mistake, would seem I was a bit naive expecting people to be able to behave like grown ups. Pretty disappointing though, I only asked for people to contribute positively. It seems some folk are too thick and miserable though.

You've let yourself down. I genuinely valued your input to the forum, you're knowledgeable.

Either start your own forum, or take a deep breath and get over yourself.

Welcome to planet Earth - it's better than the others, that's for sure.

Blimey, everyone seems to love an argument on SD at the minute... I don't think I'd like a group meet-up for a pint... probably end up in a bar room brawl 😎
