Glove recommendations?

My favourite gloves(Browning's Stalker Winter Gloves) are of course no longer being made, and my current pair is finally coming apart at the seams.
The BSWs are thick enough to keep my hands warm in most weathers; thin enough for good mobility, and to slip mittens over when it's really cold; and have flip-back fingertips on both the left and right index fingers for direct trigger or screen access.
All these are such useful features that I don't know if I'm more surprised that Browning discontinued them or to find that no one else seems to offer a comparable pair.
I am therefore starting this thread in the hope that the hive mind of the SD will know of an alternative, or even of an untapped supply of new old stock BSWs.
Please note that I already have MacWets (no flip-up fingers) and Sealskinz (too thick) and some green leather left-handed shooting gloves from Dent's (lovely, but too good for everyday wear).

Laksen Zurich for a great balance between dexterity and warmth/protection. I refuse to use gloves that need removing to take shots and reload mags etc.

This is an interesting one As I do suffer from the cold.
I generally wear a fleece fingerless glove where the mitten bit comes over and covers all fingers as well and for taking the shot flick it back and all fingers are exposed. Thick for winter and thin for summer.
not waterproof though.

i also have neoprene fishing ones, again cheap, or they were when I bought them from go outdoors, which had the foldover trigger and thumb but to be honest, in the end I just learnt to shoot with my fingers covered. Less faff. Never had issues. To be fair, I am generally shooting 100 yards, so not long range. I do keep an eye out on what is on the market but £100 for a pair of gloves? Not in my budget. The heated jacket has also helped a lot to keeping my hands warm.

If I was buying now it would be the fleece gloves. Nb, I also have heated inner glove liners, they help in the winter.

On the basis that thin gloves give more protection against cold weather than no gloves; and thin gloves make handling your kit easier than thick gloves, I end up in the compromising position of always wearing thin Summer gloves.
On a very cold day, in a high seat, I will wear oversized mittens over my gloves so I can slip them off very quickly.

I'm with Erik Hamburger on thin gloves.
I wear Snowbee Lightweight Neoprene fishing gloves all year round.
Thumb and forefinger exposed. Neoprene on the back and nylon with little non slip dots on the palm. Warmer in winter than the look suggests and, surprisingly, not warm in the summer. They last 2 years. The best bit is they are only £11 a pair. I know because I left mine somewhere in a 100acre field last night. They were well worn so have just ordered 2 pairs from here:

Thanks, they look good (if no flip-up finger) but are right-handed. I should have emphasised perhaps that an ambi or left-handed design is required.

I have the thin and slightly thicker gloves from Solognac/Decathlon, and can augment either with the fleece lined wax cotton wrist and knuckle warmers which leave the fingers free...I find both thin enough to be able to shoot with them on. The thicker version has screen sensitive index finger pads so you can operate the iPhone screen with them on (-ish).

For even colder and wetter weather the Ex Army leather combat MKII are an excellent quality for the money.

Also suffer from white finger and have tried sealskin, deerhunter and mits Heard that the Norwegian gloves are very good but expensive. Try wearing a pr of latex gloves under your normal gloves, be interested to hear what you buy

I always wear gloves when stalking. In the summer light camouflage ones from Jack Pyke originally but replaced recently by a thin pair for summer and a spring / autumn thicker pair from Decathalon/Solognac

In colder weather I used to wear the Jack Pyke ones in combination with some over mitts which left the fingers free to pull the trigger

But in future will probably opt to wear these British Army Leather Combat Mk11 if it is very cold. I think these are an amazing deal, I have bought a few pairs now. Cheap enough @ between £18 and £25 to wear as work gloves and brilliantly warm. As waterproof as Sealskinz but I find them warmer and the lining less clingy if your hands get damp and you try to put them back on. Very soft and supple leather so I can shoot with them on with a 1kg trigger. They have a Gortex layer and a wool lining and come in brown, black or camouflage printed leather.

I have an unused pair of Harkila expedition mitt if anyone is interested. They were £140 new - when you could get them. They come with thermal glove liner and mitten outer with trigger zips. I've never tried anything as warm as these. Shame I never got to use them.

For stalking, I use the Army issue thin leather MTP gloves for warm weather and the thicker waterproof MTP ones for cold weather.

For game shooting, I have Macwets for good weather and Barbour neoprenes for bad weather.
