Sturgeon has just stated that the future of Scotland is purely in the hands of the Scottish, I think this is grossly unfair. The Welsh and the English should also have a say, because from what I constantly hear Independence is a given.

I just watched wee Jimmy krankie give her speech.
She reckons she will ignore what the PM says and go for Indy ref 2.
Now somewhere in the back of my mind there is a reminder of an area of Spain called Catalonia.
They went for their own independence vote and went against the wishes of their country's leader.
Now that is in the Europe that krankie so loves, what happened? The leaders were jailed for long terms.

Boris' best move would be to agree to the referendum (showing he has regard to her 'demands'); economics will do the rest, and the realities of a Scottish border, new currency (the Euro), the cost of membership (high), eligibility criteria (deficit to be below 3% of applying country's GDP, currently more than double this - SNP austerity required), and the cost of setting up and funding the usual trappings of a nation state (Central Bank, SNHS, SDVLA, SRev& Customs, etc.) should all be food for thought for her campaign.

Should she try for a deal with RUK, or no deal? Meantime, who'll pay the bills, and with what?

Bring it on, it'll finish her, the Penguin, and her parcel of rogues...

I'm no Boris fanboy but I'm quietly relieved. It looks like we've dodged the armegeddon of horrific, Jew-hating Bolivarian destruction.
We're still going to get a metropolitan urban government that seeks to turn the entire country into London, which is as close a fate to dying and going to Hell as I can conceive, but it will at least it will be delivered from a basis of benign ignorance rather than visceral hate and there is scope in that for hope and possibly even benign guidance. it was a good campaign by the Tories and a ridiculous one by the other parties. Already Trump is licking his lips and looking at which piece of the UK he will get first. There is already talk of trade offs and farming and fishing being some of those which may get hit. Brexit will not be done for years and it is a shame that no one in Westminster could bring themselves to construct a cross party deal for the good of the UK. Such is the state of our rotten politics.
My constituency is yet to declare as in Kernow we do it dreckly but will have little impact in the final scheme of things but our fishermen might yet look back on today when the “level playing field” means we are 15% more expensive and no one wants to buy our produce as Spanish sell it cheaper and as we are no longer in the EU we cannot influence this.
I am a democrat and believe that the referendum should be upheld but with such a majority the Tories can do what they like and if I were a Brexitier I would not be celebrating too much until I see the final deal.
For me I benefit from this result, for my children I am not so sure time will tell.

Austerity was the ONLY option after labour nigh on bankrupted this nation. I’m not an ardent Tory but labour would have ruined this country financially in 8 months. We cannot be run by trade unions!!! 4 day working week to cost no one any money, free broadband for all, nationalisation of utilities within 100 days. What drivel ... 1:3 kids - a few years back when I was still on the tools I worked in 100s of social houses the situations I saw would change that view. Single Mums in 4 bed town houses with American fridge freezers, a plasma in every room 2 xboxes a fridge over spilling with food . All on the ponce. I completely understand that there is children in poverty in this country which is no fault of there own and I am sympathetic to this and wish I could do more. I also know these parents who knowingly bring kids into this world and into poverty are the people (normaly Corbyn voters ) who shoulnt be allowed to have kids. We didn’t start having kids until we could afford it and was in stable income. I’ve met loads of single mums under 20 with kids just to get on the social it’s disgusting . I appreciate there is accidents but a one a one night stand baby in today’s age shouldn’t happen. The working/middle class tax payer shouldn’t have to pay for this. It’s pure socialist crap.

The parents still manage to spend £10 on a pack of fags though
