Guide stalker tip

I seem to get invited back so maybe I'm tipping too much....

What I was trying to get across is that I would expect a good tip for loading and I equate that to a days graft of someone guiding me on Red's say... Then if your somewhere nice there's a tip for the pony boy etc...
Also im quite unfit and I try my best but they inevitably end up dragging me back as well

Interestingly some of the worst tips I've ever had are from the richest people!

thats why they are rich.

Worst tip I got was £20 for a week at the roe bucks. I think we got 7 or 8 including a silver medal. Fella had top of the range range rover. Same fella was coming back for a week the following year. By this time I was working elsewhere and he asked if I would take a weeks holiday so I could take him out. Guess what my reply was

I recall I tipped £50 for the day - morning and evening stalks in Devon a couple of years ago. Although no deer were shot, a fair few were seen (unsafe shot or too far away), and the fieldcraft, helpfulness and knowledge of the guides were of the highest quality

In Scotland 10 years ago ,just about to take a shot on a red stag that we’d stalked a considerable distance into ,when the the stalker tapped me on the shoulder and told me it will cost me £200 to pull the trigger .I told him I knew the day cost that but he wanted a further £200 for himself .I shot the stag then turned and walked the long miles back to the estate office ,leaving matey to it .I asked if this was normal to which a glum faced manager said “not again “,was very apologetic .Next morning I was met by another younger lad who was spot on ,receiving £100 tip for his hard work and another stag taken in style way out on the hill which we both dragged back in .
That stag was the only beast in the larder .

I used to get away with a packet of fags to the skinners in SA.
I must be way behind the times..................:old:

On two recent stalking excursions, I was billed £240 and £140 (exactly what I expected) and tipped £30 and £20 respectively. My theory is 10% rounded up to the nearest £10.

Tips are earnt . Wether it's a waitress or bar tender ,or guide

If the service is great and banter is better , the client and provider will say " Yey or ney"

Most of the time " if your a good client" the time out stalking with a like minded gent , means .....

" why you giving me a Tip ...??" And your guide is a good guy

But .. I'd give him a bung any way ,,

If he's at tit .... Lol

We don't do it for coin,,,,,,,

We do it , for what we enjoy, Prince or pauper
