"The orgs would do well to be on the lookout for winnable appeals to fund". AND be willing to explain the reasoning behind swerving that option.
Let’s hope his org of choice the NGO step up to the wicket"The orgs would do well to be on the lookout for winnable appeals to fund". AND be willing to explain the reasoning behind swerving that option.
I sincerely agree with this proposal - I would also add it does not need to be a member - winning anything would help those who are members and encourage those who currently see certain orgs as a lost cause. e.g. Watching BASC's response to the latest JR from WJ is not inspiring and would certainly not encourage me to rejoin."The orgs would do well to be on the lookout for winnable appeals to fund". AND be willing to explain the reasoning behind swerving that option.
Their conduct when they represented 9 Iraqis suing the UK government gave an insight into their moral compass. Or lack of itBASC (or any org) wouldn’t want Leigh Day acting for them, they are one of those firms which specialises in “do gooder” causes, ambulance chasing and group litigation. Wouldn’t touch them with a barge pole.
Keep in touch, we all need to know how you fare - we can perhaps lobby elsewhere but we MUST be certain there is nothing behind this as, I am sure you can see, challenging the Police is always a good idea but NOT if they have you 'bang to rights'.Well I have emailed the person in charge asking for information for why licenses going to be revoked I have held licenses for sg fa for 40 years with no issues so asked why I have not been spoken to when the police that investigated the issue and my firearms officer who I have known for 20 years did not have any issues.
So I will wait now to see if I get a meeting with them.
Thanks everyone
Well they have not got in touch like they said they were going too so I will have to wait till next week.Keep in touch, we all need to know how you fare - we can perhaps lobby elsewhere but we MUST be certain there is nothing behind this as, I am sure you can see, challenging the Police is always a good idea but NOT if they have you 'bang to rights'.
I will add it does not seem so, in fact it seems totally without foundation. from everything we know so far.
I presume you have conveyed that information to SACS ?Well they have not got in touch like they said they were going too so I will have to wait till next week.
I with sacs so I will be phoning them Monday.
The reason I haven’t taken advice before because the police who investigated what happened and my firearms officer said there’s no problem you will have them back.
I will keep you informed
You have no clue what you are talking about. How do you know what any risk is?It seems like someone has made a decision after the initial decision not to remove and went with the typical Police risk aversion, even though there remains no risk.
Good luckWell sacs phoned now to start a case thanks for all your messages I’ll keep you informed police still no call from them
Don’t be absurd. You were a long-serving policeman. Is there any realistic probability (i.e. a risk) that a staff member, who makes an administrative error in the following two categories - failing to explain the police rationale for revoking a certificate, or incorrectly revoking a certificate, would be formally disciplined and have any sanction applied to them? No. Is there any likelihood that the Police force involved would be sanctioned? No.You have no clue what you are talking about. How do you know what any risk is?
Maybe consider winding it in a little?
Excellent news - at least SACS has reconsidered and may well now do us all a favour !!!Well sacs phoned now to start a case thanks for all your messages I’ll keep you informed police still no call from them
Very best of luck with SACS and your case! I hope it goes the way you want it toThe reason I haven’t taken advice before because the police who investigated what happened and my firearms officer said there’s no problem you will have them back.
