Have I got a T4 or T8 Reflex Moderator

Hi Guys

I purchased a Tikka T3 Hunter and it came with a T4/T8 reflex sound moderator without sounding like a complete idiot I can’t tell which one it is and they all look the same

Any way of telling them apart ?

T8 is around 10’ thanks this is the info I couldn’t find online I’ll go measure

(I don’t mind which one I have I just didn’t know which one I have )

Mine is around 260-ish mm (10”) must be a T8

Is it in white ? Iv seen pictures of some second hand ones where you can still see the writing and some where you can’t

That’s my recollection too, though I have seen them on 6.5 Creedmoors…..

Can’t see why they wouldn’t work but probably just not that effective with bigger calibres

It’s a sound attenuation efficiency and packaging/size/weight decision not calibre

Mine was sold to me for my AR15 .223 by a rfd specialising in such things he had sold the rifle to me some time previously.
It was listed on my FAC as a .223 moderator but investigation of the figures stamped into the back say it's. 25 calibre.
Does it fit and work on my .243 then?
You bet it does

I have seen a T8 going well further than 10 feet - owner didn’t screw it on before he fired his .308 - vaguely reminiscent of “bolting rabbit” at a clay shoot.
My how he laughed….

We have a member who has launched his moderator at least 3 times in a few years - it still screws on securely
