Hawke scope developed internal fault - maker will not repair, nor replace

I lost a turret cap of the first scope I bought which was a Hawke (2012) so I emailed them asking about a replacement. They wanted about £10+ postage so that was enough for me to avoid them in future. It may seem petty but there are so many other manufacturers who offer such better customer service that little things like that are enough to put me off a brand and choose another that I trust will try to look after customer loyalty.

Buy Leupold next time, real lifetime warranty/replacement and made domestically.

Hawke scopes all made overseas.
Surely this only applies to the country that the brand originates from? If you live in China then a Hawke scope is made domestically and you're buying local, if I buy a Leupold scope it was made overseas too as it certainly wasn't made in the UK😂

Anyone sent in a modern Butler creek scope lens cover for repair or free replacement after it fell apart after minimal use? Definitely an item not fit for purpose, similarly if Landrover gave 7 year warranties on their vehicles, they would probably go bankrupt due to constant warranty claims.

Is there any scope that you can buy that is not made "overseas" ?

For the UK, no, not for the last hundred years or so I think...

My point was that I prefer a brand that makes equipment domestically, not exporting labour to another country simply because it is cheaper and they want maximum profit and minimum responsibility.

However, whilst I'd happily buy a Japanese made scope that has been badged by a US or other company, anyone who gets their scopes made in China should be named and shamed, like Vortex...

Email them?
