i have an energizer, its pretty basic, has 3 led's, switch 1 way brings all 3 on, switch other way brings 1 on, the face of the torch is on a swivel that lets it be pointed down, was around £8. runs on 1 aaa. its waterproof, and not bad light from it. the light has a blue tint to it, but its never annoyed me.

It arrived today which was a bloody good service. Took it out tonight to test it. Shot a munty buck which i ended up gralloching in the dark.
Well, I'm more than impressed with this piece of kit! Not only does it have the ability to focus the beam from wide to narrow, you can dim it as well!
It states that the narrow beam goes out to 180m at 170 lumens which is outstanding for such a small torch. I pointed it down a ride in a very dark wood and it was like daylight for as far as the ride went which was over 100m.
The on/off switch is recessed which means it is less likely to be switched on by accident. it comes with a nice little neoprene pouch too. They do more powerful versions too, but I can't see anyone needing more than this little version delivers.
At £42 it is very good value for money!
