Sill lots of feet and inches used in the U.K. we have miles as well . I was taught metric at school but everything in the construction industry was in imperial and still is some times even mixed in with the Roman Catholic such as 3 ft and 2 mm as lots of younger lads can not do the fractions eg 3-16s

must be special MOD issue laces... the ones in my Altbergs seem to last for ages, mind you so do the boots... got 4 pairs of different ones... hard for me to get boots wide enough and the last pair of wide fit lowa's i had were poor quality leather (3rd pair)
