Afternoon guys looking to upgrade my pulsar helion xq50. A friend recently brought a XP50 pro and i’ve realised the difference in picture quality.

I had a good look at the game fair at the hik GQ50L had a play about with it liked the unit a few times the range finder seemed to struggle to pick up the target i was trying to range. Looking for some info to see if this is a problem anyone else has had. Or if somones else had played with the setting of the demo unit at the show.

Has anyone compared the GQ50L to the helion XP50 pro. i like the idea of the laser range finder on the Hik unit. Any advise be greatly appreciated or videos of the GQ50L in action thanks.

also my pulsar will be for sale when i make a decision 👍🏼 if anyone is interested thanks.

Helion 2 XP50 pro is the one to have.
If you've managed fine up till now without a rangefinder, then having one won't make much difference.
I've used both and the Pulsar Helion 2 XP50 Pro is simply the best thermal spotter available in the UK today
I found that the image on the GQ50L was OK, but that rangefinder was inconsistent - sometimes it would range a target and other times it simply refused to range a target.

Cheers

Bruce

would you say it’s far behind the xp50 pro picture wise at says 300-400 yards cheers for the feed back guys
The GQ50 image in the black hot colour palette is pretty good, although the performance in poor weather is nothing close to a Helion Pro. Also both are at opposite ends of the spectrum, in terms of build quality...

The Gryphon is £800 less than a Helion Pro and includes a rangefinder, housed in a plastic shell. Like I say it offers good value for the specification, but there has to be some give in certain factors to reduce cost..
