For Sale: Holiday Cottage Rental in the Highlands

A quick update after my bump up.

I had hoped that after 18 months from our application we would have received our furnished holiday let licence. But it seems that this great thought out idea (not!!!) by the SNP is taking an eternity to administer but with the inefficiencies in government departments it is not surprising.
This licence had to be paid for, up front and runs from the date of the application for 3 years, so here we are half way through the licence and we haven't received it yet

We have a provisional application number from the initial application and a chain of emails and scans going back over the 18 months and fingers crossed we may see it in the spring time.
Meanwhile we are still allowed to continue with the lets.

I hear from a few other trades that a lot of folk have decided to not bother and are pulling the pin on the holiday let scene.

Short breaks (3 nights minimum) are available all year round and can start on any day unlike most other places where you are tied in to their set days.

Any questions, please just drop me a PM

Cheers and Thanks

A.M.

Have heard from a few folk that the holiday let licence is taking forever to come through and a few folk have just decided to sell up - another win for the inept SNP I'm afraid.
Hope you get it sorted sooner rather than later....
We have friends in Tain and Evanton and spend a fair bit of time in the area.....lovely bit of Scotland.

The trouble with a no dogs rule is that it accommodates a minority.
From the look of your replies, perhaps- kennels on site- or dogs in porch / breakfast room would have achieved a few enquiries.

How’s it going Tattie , I’m looking on your map as to where your cottage is , roughly how far are you from Avoch on the Black Isle time wise. Cheers bugsy
