Home office considers merging Police forces

Having seen this played out in Scotland on behest of the SNP to garner more control it will be detrimental to all services as was anticipated and warned at the time. It turned into a clusterf**k of epic proportions based on a central belt bias (think London bias if surrounding forces merged).

It didn’t save money, which was how it was sold with millions wasted trying to align IT systems etc etc, all well documented in the press at the time and since. I’m sure they will have looked at the Scottish debacle and spoken to the Chief Constable who the Scottish Government directly employ (along with Lord Advocate who then sits with a hat in both rings - and they say the Justiciary and Government are separate) who want to keep their jobs and a few SNP MSP’s who will have said it was a total success. If this can be resisted I would suggest it is a good idea to.

Ah, the next step.

1) exploitation of societal discontent? ✅
2) exploitation of a crisis? COVID ✅
3) centralised ruling ideology? ✅
4) propaganda and censorship? ✅
5) control of police to create a climate of fear? ✅
6) indoctrination of youth? ✅
7) cult of personality/ ideology? ……about all that is saving us at the moment though trans vs climate vs globalism vs woke etc is still a selection of nuts rather than a clear winner. No personality on any side.

Sounds like the SNP with Sturgeon at the helm before her husband was found with his fingers in the till which she obviously knew nothing about (aye right). Starmer is following their playbook but unfortunately for him it won’t work as he isn’t popular, his front bench are like Sunday league 5 failures and a lot of people have had enough of the bull**** getting forced on them.

However anyone paints it merging of Police forces is 100% a political move. The last 30 years of politics has created the situation the Police find themselves in through them making sure the ‘right’ people are both recruited (accelerated since 2010), and are in senior positions. It’s a shame as the proper crook catchers and people who aren’t scared to go hands on are in the minority and always having to watch their back.
