Homemade mobile skinning rig

Afternoon
So I’ve completed the main exterior build of my larder, I know and have seen some of the very capable skinning rigs or larder rigs on here .
I have a number of 4”x2” treated timbers left over plus I will have food safe non porous paint so was wondering if anyone on here has made a rig with timber ( not key clamp etc ) that can be moved around inside their larder and used for both winching Deer up to either put into the chiller or just to hang and skin ?
I have a couple of ideas plus I’ve used AI but always interested to see others approach/ solutions.
Thanks .

A frame like a tall builders trestle (bandstand) with a spreader bar and the bottom, I think the footprint of it will become very tiresome moving it around

I would google something along the lines of " wooden log sawhorse" screwfix have a metal one or make one with your wood. I try to use it but get end up hanging it and skinning on the winch

Been mucking around with AI inputting materials, sizes and carcass weights etc Gemini gave me a A style and ChatGPT gave me this sketch .

Still very much playing around with ideas but there are specific requirements, has to be mobile in order to winch up then chain and pole onto chiller rail plus be able to winch and hold a Fallow for skinning .

You don't need wheels timber will drag/skid easy, if you have the base as a square then you can stand on it as you pull down on the deer, with wheels it will be relying on the weight of the timber and be like a shopping trolly on super market sweep. :norty:

😂 that has imprinted an image of me in my larder getting in all sorts of bother 🤣

So some features of the larder the chiller room is 2.4m x 2.2m the floor will have a non slip epoxy resin paint coat . The chiller in question is the Fosters Eco G2 fairly big couldn’t not have it as it was a steal at £300 considering it’s in mint condition. So this leaves space enough but not acres of room for manoeuvring/skinning carcasses .

This is something someone shared on here a few years back.Googled scaffold pole skinning rig.
Cant see why some heavy duty casters cant be fixed to make it more maneuverable.

A portable wooden frame seems very cumbersome to me. If it were me, I would fasten two or three of them (2x4) together and use them as vertical supports. Use any extra to make a good solid header attached to the ceiling/roof trussing from which a chain, winch, block etc. can be hung. Close enough to the cooler that you can lift and swing right to a hook and then back out same way for skinning. A friend's setup utilizes a short length of cable and an eye bolt in the floor that he attaches the loose skin to tennis ball style. As he keeps lifting the carcass to a comfortable skinning height the skin is stretched enough to replace almost all pulling by hand.

You could get in touch with a pipe fitter , who can screw thread all pipes to for disassembly ( choose galvanised joints) and it can then be dismantled after use out of season .
Or 40 mm RHS weld it all up and get it painted or send it for galvanising when its built
If your not doing a load , just do them on a second hand stainless butchers table as they can be had pretty cheap at sales

Usually do red in twenty min by hand
Makes for reasonably strong wrists ,,,
My friend's is a commercial outfit. Everything from lambs to moose. Has a pole mounted swiveling electric crane. Picks out of the back of a truck, hang to skin right there and swings to the door of the cooler and onto a rail. I am quite envious of his system.
