How many deer do you shoot in a season

🥰I love your responses Lee and I have already told you I agree with you.

Can I also point out that the velcro gloves and velcro body suit are nothing to do with a creedmoor....the "ventilated" trousers are but lets not go there :lol:

None of the bucks I shoot are large antlered so for me that isnt the point, it just allows me to start 3 months earlier then get onto the does 01st Nov.

Get back to your bog snorkling or be a bit more clear on what you type 😛
I can’t wait to get a date in the diary for next season. I think we’ll be par-taking a few beers and I think it will be ****ing hilarious.

I am looking forward to it as well mate....I think we need to sit as far away from other people as I imagine there will be coarse language lol. I was thinking of swapping to the .243 but after the abuse I will bring the Creed...just for spite   🥰 👍

54 roe so far this year but could shoot a lot more but no market for them .

Plus not just a 1 trick pony , spend a lot of time shooting rabbits , pigeons , crows , foxes etc
The amount of "other" stuff you shoot Im surprised there is any wildlife left   👍

OK then....at the risk of leaving myself open to utter ridicule from the "serious" deer stalkers on the site......
In a typical year I will shoot between 1 and 5 deer - maybe a few more if I need to provide venison for friends and family. My freezer is the deciding measure and as I don't have my own land, any stalking is bought days here and there. Love it and don't really care if this puts me in the mere amateur bracket:tiphat:

Why should anyone ridicule you mate. If you are happy with what you do then sod everyone else 👍

No ridicule from me.
I only shoot what I've got customers for, and butcher to order or for specific events.

Better than naff all and well worth the effort!

I don’t think it really matters whether you shoot one or two, one or two hundred or one or two thousand a year. We all have different lives and calls on our time and different ways of earning a living. For some stalking is their full time job, for others it’s a means of escape from their everyday, for others its part of overall land management.

They all have their place.

No ridicule, I used to shoot around 6-10 a year when I relied on a stalking syndicate in South west Scotland for my stalking, involving a 8hr return trip from Cheshire. I learnt a lot from that syndicate and it was the only land I had access to until I found reds in Cheshire.

Yep, and nothing but got busting hard work ever since I bet🙈😬

I feel your pain, I’m hoping that we don’t find them this weekend. We’re in for shite weather the next 24 hours or so and red deer in the rain is a misery.🙈

I had my very first outing at them last week and shot 4 but I don’t think all the days go that way 😄 that was a 5hr trip each way so will be few and far between. Working on getting my own cf rifle and some local permissions with deer on but they are thin enough on the ground around me, so 4 could be the annual figure too!

Depends if I can get the Landrover to them! Not bad at all if I can, 50mm box section deer hoist makes gralloch and getting into the back easy enough.

Our forecast looks good for sat and sun morning so I shall be out.
