How to fix Red Stag skull to wooden mount?

Any advice? I've seen the metal fixing plates but I've also read about filling skull with filler...
Any recommendations much appreciated? And photos...

I’ve used the metal plate to fit them to good effect but you do need to clamp it in well!

you can epoxy a piece of wood into the skull cavity and then just put a woodscrew through the shield into the wooden block.

Are the teeth still there? It's not clear from your photo. If they're not then it's a long nose cut rather than full skull.

Yes, no teeth so assume it much be a long noise cut. Thanks

Just above, and behind, where the ear canal is, there's a flattish piece of the skull. You can put a couple of screws there, to hold it on to the shield. Can't be seen from the front.
