How to prevent a blued, scratched barrell from rusting.

Any tips on how to prevent a blued, scratched barrell from rusting. I'm not anal about wear and tear but noticed a few scratches under the barrel of my Tikka T3X and would like to try and prevent rust taking hold. Possibly scratched on a barbed wire fence .

Oil as long as you keep applying it, otherwise re-blue or Cerakote.
Cerakote means you’ll never have to worry about scratching again

A rub with an oily rag before putting away (making sure any trace of blood is removed beforehand) is all it takes to prevent external rusting.
Obviously shooting on a wet day requires attention to drying but that should be done no matter what type of material or finish.

In addition to the above, I've also seen good results if you use some of the 'chemical bluing' products around (Birchwood Casey or similar). Degrease and follow the instructions to get the bluing done, then oil/wax on top to protect, per others suggestions?
