GM,

Next year my Wife and I celebrate 20yrs of Marriage and I'd like to do a Safari, but Id like to go and hunt something as well as see the wildlife and relax. Anyone got any recommendation's?

I'd only probably be looking to hunt maybe one day of the trip, not fussed on animal, just want to tick something off the bucket list of hunting abroad.

also not sure where to go.

Personally I found safari a bit boring when I went after four days sitting in a vehicle with some droning yanks for company. If I were to go again I’d go on foot and well off the tourist track which absolutely 1000% would not align to my missus idea of a relaxing holiday 😂.

So if I went back with her I’d probably chose South Africa work north to south and do the tourist stuff again. It was pleasurable and be a lot less moaning.

Look at Hendrik&Trudi Safaris in Namibia. I’ve been there twice, not for two years now but it’s reasonable. It’s close to the airport 1 hour or so. A number of Irish people have started going there as repeat customers. Steyr Mannlichers in 30-06 for hire,€200 a week and a box of ammunition included.

If you search Namibia and South Africa there are lots of articles and write ups - planning a trip myself and have had loads of helpful advice from people on here

What would your wife want to do?

Like said there might not be much enjoyment in African safari, maybe plan a continental "city holiday" in Europe? Strolling around "old town", museums etc. maybe spa or something. Slip in few stalking sessions, depending on season. If you find right location, could be budget friendly since you don't insist on trophy animals. I mean the challenge would be finding a location where you can combine other activities with stalking, w/o excessive travel.

Contact Ade " British shooting services " he's is the big game section

You can take an observer , hunt and do day trips to various locations

Worth a call.imo
