I'm back after the op.

Wishing you the very best and at the risk of embarrassing you, what a top bloke you clearly are for dealing with such a less than well dealt hand.

K
Thank you all for your kind and encouraging words. In reply to your post Klenchblaize thanks for the compliment but I don't think that I am anything special, nor do I want to thought of as anything out of the ordinary. There are many many more people of all ages both young and old out there who have been through or are in worse "positions" and are dealing with it happily!

So glad your on the mend Pete ,hell about covers your experience but r n r time now .

I would like to think so but I went to try playing my regular Saturday afternoon game of bowls and had to retire halfway through as I felt simply "washed out". As such the team I captain is playing on Monday but I have dropped myself until further notice even though I will go to each match to support the team and cheer them on. I guess I am just going to have to rest up for a little while longer than expected till I have a bit more strength and stamina. Even so I stand by what I say, I think the world of the NHS staff and I'm happy to be alive as there are many more people worse off than me so I count myself very fortunate.
In the mean time I am sitting here enjoying a tankard of cider! Cheers and take care of yourself.

Youl get your strength back soon enough, slowly slowly catchee monkey. My best mates dad had 2 stents fitted a year later aged 72 he bought a trike motorbike .
And I'm having a Marstons pedigree 🍺cheers

How did they diagnose a heart attack, and then decide they had got it wrong?
Blood test, ECG, Echo cardiogram?
Have you been offered cardiac rehab ?
Junior dr in a and e..... bloods and ecg were (unbeknown to me) borderline. Consultant later said it was probably a blood viral attack, TWO YEARS LATER!!!!
Yep, two entire years of beta blockers, blood thinners and shed loads of other crap I didnt even need. Was only that I refused to see a down right rude asian registrar (he spoke to me like a naughty child at my previous appointment) that the head honcho comes out of a broom cupboard and agrees to sit down with me and go through my file 😡 then proceeds to tell me to go home, stop taking all my medication as I hadnt had a heart attack at all.... two stone in two years I gained in weight.

That was about 7 years ago, the hospital has gotten even worse since then... it use to be a benchmark of hospitals, then they had a tripple merging of hospitals, now its the underfunded embarrassing runt of the litter, and unfortunately its my local....

Good Luck FB!I went thru a right leg amputation last May and have been recovering since...NHS were top notch at all levels,am driving with hand controls...just take the prosthetic off and off you go...also had 2x cataracts done later ...brilliant!! My inspiration has been the Marine who lost both arms and a leg in an IED IN Afghanistan, as they said in Monty Python mine is a scratch in comparison!Next project Private Pilots Licence..using specially converted aircraft at Blackbushe with Aerobility..onward and upward!!
