I live in Bristol and would like to know more about deer stalking, specifically as a way of procuring meat. My only experience with anything like this was shooting a farm pig on a small holding in France and then being there for chain hoisting it up and lent a hand with some amateur butchery, this was about 15 years ago. I used a .22 rifle as that was what they had and usually used, and shot and reloaded it in quick succession to make sure the animal was dispatched as quickly as possible, but haven’t used one since.
Looking forward to making some connections through this site and hopefully getting out into the field.
