Chillapalappa or fanigallor (feck knows the correct spelling) is the language of the mines and farms in former Rhodesia. Its a bastardised language with a mix of local languages- shona, zulu etc with Afrikaans and English and is a means of communicating widely.
It has now rather morphed in Zambian, Zimbabwean or South Africa English which is used very widely.
Swahili is an equivalent further north in Tanzania and Kenya and was the language used by Arab slave traders. It has now become the official language in Kenya and Tanzania.
